The Heart-tugging Series Ends Its Six-Year Run

Turn out the lights:  The Party's over.  Neve Campbell, Scott Wolf, Lacey Chabert and other stars of Party of Five shared hugs, tears and heartfelt moments at the Fox drama's final wrap party, on April 6.  Jeremy London reminisced about his favorite episode: "the one where [my character] Griffin told Julia [Campbell] that he loved her for the first time."  Chabert said that the last taping ended with "all of us sobbing."  "It's incredibly sad," added Jennifer Love Hewitt, who left the show last year.  "The show changed my life.  Especially Scott [Wolf].  I really miss him."  None of this comes as a surprise, given the Salinger family's warm-and-fuzzy reputation.  "No matter what the scene was, whether it was Bailey washing his Jeep or Charlie doing the dishes," says producer Amy Lippman, "our direction was always: 'Tears would not be inappropriate.'" - Marcus Baram and Vanessa Torres
